END OF YEAR FESTIVAL: LPE COMMUNITY GATHERING

END OF YEAR SCHOOL FESTIVAL

Highly anticipated by the entire La Petite Ecole community, the school festival began with a show by our students, who proudly showcased their talents on stage, in front of their eagerly awaiting parents.

In keeping with this year’s projects, whose theme is a “journey through time,” each class prepared dances and songs on a specific period of history, with costumes specially designed by the children for the event. We were therefore able to travel through time together.

After great applause and the graduation ceremony for our Grande Section pupils (final year of nursery school), the morning continued on the playground, in the classroom and on the sports fields. Teachers and parent volunteers organised many activities for the children: coconut shy, introduction to writing Chinese characters, face painting, reading, crafts workshop, egg and spoon race, staged photos, yoga and Mölkky, a Finnish throwing game. In line with our environmental protection work at La Petite Ecole, on which we place great emphasis, an inflatable swimming pool was set up in the playground for an unusual fishing expedition intended to make pupils aware of the need to respect the environment.

SNACK BREAK

Many sweet and savoury snacks were prepared by the parent volunteers for the morning snack break — enough to tickle everyone's taste buds during this busy morning.

LPE TOMBOLA

Just like last year, La Petite Ecole's tombola marked the end of the festival, with many prizes on offer for both younger and older attendees. Thanks to the generosity of our partners, 140 prizes were given out in total. The top prize was a weekend break in Bintan for a family of four, provided by Club Med, and the second prize was a basket of Clarins cosmetics. The families in attendance, who came in great numbers, ended the morning by talking to the team about this wonderful school year, which is already coming to an end...

SEE YOU NEXT YEAR

The team at La Petite Ecole looks forward to welcoming our pupils back to school in September, but before that, we wish them a great summer holiday and a well-deserved rest. Good luck to our GS pupils, who will be starting primary school in the next academic year.
