Diane

Diane is the definition of cool-headed competence. Born and raised in the City of Light, she brings a touch of French savoir-faire to everything she does—whether she’s guiding students in reading or writing, or distilling complex topics, Diane encourages all students to take responsibility for their learning. There’s no problem too big or small for Diane; she approaches each one with creativity, patience, and a knack for getting things done. She taught with La Petite Ecole for four years, returned to France, and then made her way back to us. Needless to say, we were thrilled to have her back!

In her time away from the La Petite Ecole, Diane taught in France. Since her return, her method for helping kids learn to read has become a favorite among our team, and she’s always generous in sharing her techniques and tips. Her innovative reading strategies have not only helped her students but have also become a go-to resource for her colleagues. She’s the type of teacher who’s always ready to share her insights, making our team better and stronger. She’s a mentor, a problem-solver, and a cherished part of our school community. Diane’s classroom is a place where students not only grow and  thrive as academic powerhouses, thanks to her thoughtful and nurturing approach.

At home, Diane is a proud mom of two daughters, one of whom is in our PS trilingual program. She balances motherhood and teaching with remarkable ease, always bringing out the best in everyone around her.

If Diane were a pastry, she’d be a Paris-Brest: elegant and layered with depth. She’s the kind of colleague who quietly raises the bar for everyone else—approachable, inspiring, and endlessly dependable. In short, Diane is so much more than a fantastic teacher; she’s the glue that keeps our team strong, and we’re lucky to have her.
