Ashley

Ashley is the kind of educator who brings the world into her classroom because she’s lived it. Born and raised in Malaysia, her journey in education has taken her across continents, from studying in Australia to working in Italy, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and now Singapore. Each experience has added a new layer to her global perspective and deepened her understanding of how children learn and thrive.

Her academic path began in Australia, where she completed a Foundation in Psychology at RMIT University, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and International Studies at Monash University. She later pursued a Master’s in Teaching at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. This rich blend of disciplines fuels her holistic and inclusive approach to education.

Ashley has taught at both preschool and primary school levels, always within international school environments that celebrate diversity and promote open-minded learning. Her classrooms are nurturing spaces where students are encouraged to be curious, reflective, and kind. Values that mirror her approach to life and education.

A passionate educator and lifelong learner, Ashley believes that teaching isn’t just about imparting knowledge. It’s about shaping hearts and minds. Her goal is to inspire children to see themselves as capable, compassionate citizens of the world.

When she’s not in the classroom, you’ll likely find Ashley exploring new cultures, enjoying a good book, doing Pilates, or simply soaking up the little joys of everyday life. With her thoughtful presence and global experience, she is an invaluable part of La Petite Ecole, where she helps young learners thrive in a multilingual, co-teaching environment.
